Looking for a property?

Not every property we have is on the website. Tell us what you are looking for and we will search for you, including properties that are never advertised.

Looking for a property?
What it covers

We search for you while you are at home

Buyers abroad only see part of what is available, because many of the best properties sell before they are photographed or advertised. A local agency hears about them first.

Tell us the area, your budget and what you need from the house. We will only send you properties that fit, and tell you honestly when something does not.

We cover the stretch of coast and the inland villages we know well, from Begur and Palafrugell down to Sant Feliu de Guíxols, with the office in Sant Antoni de Calonge in the middle of it. If what you want lies outside that area, we will say so rather than send you something that does not fit.

What's included

How it works

Tell us what you want

Area, budget, number of bedrooms and what you will use the house for.

We search, including off-market

Our own listings, properties other agencies have, and owners who are thinking of selling but have not listed yet.

Viewings in one trip

We arrange viewings of every property worth seeing, so you can see them properly in a couple of days rather than a fortnight.

How it works

How a search works

  1. A first conversation

By phone, video call or at the office. We ask how you will use the house, which matters as much as the number of bedrooms.

  2. A shortlist

We send only properties that fit what you told us, with photographs, the documents we have and our own view of each one.

  3. Viewings

When you come over, we plan the viewings so you see the properties worth seeing in a few days, and the areas around them.

  4. Offer and checks

Before you sign anything, make sure the legal position of the property has been checked: the land registry, debts, the licence for a tourist let if you want one. Then the reservation contract and the notary.

On the Costa Brava

Before you buy

NIE
Every buyer in Spain needs a foreigner's identification number (NIE). It can be requested at a consulate in your own country or here, and it is worth starting early because appointments can take weeks.
Taxes when you buy
A resale property carries transfer tax, a new build carries VAT, and both come on top of the price together with the notary and land registry fees. Ask us for an estimate before you make an offer.
Tourist letting
If you plan to let the house to holidaymakers, it needs a tourist licence registered against the property. Not every house has one and not every town issues new ones, so this is checked before you buy, not after.
Good to know

Good to know

Does a search cost me anything?
No. The seller pays our fee, so our search costs you nothing.
Can you help before I visit Spain?
Yes, and it can save you a trip. We send video walkthroughs and our honest opinion before you book flights.
What about the paperwork and taxes?
We explain the NIE, the notary, the taxes and the running costs before you commit.
Which area should I look in?
It depends on how you will use the house. Somewhere you live all year needs shops, a doctor and restaurants that stay open in winter. A summer house can be quieter. Our town pages describe each area, and we are happy to talk it through with you.
Do I need a Spanish bank account?
In practice yes. The bills, the community fees and the local taxes are paid by direct debit, and the notary will want to see where the money for the purchase came from.
Who looks after the house when I am not there?
Our property management team can hold the keys, check the house on a rhythm you agree with us, and take care of the pool, the garden and repairs. It is the same office that sells the houses.
