Property for sale in Sant Feliu de Guíxols
Sant Feliu de Guíxols is a real town with a port, a monastery and a seafront promenade, at the southern end of our stretch of the coast. It is busy all year, not only in summer.

What buying in Sant Feliu de Guíxols is really like
Sant Feliu grew up around a Benedictine monastery and a natural harbour. It became one of the great cork towns of Catalonia, and its broad promenade, its casino and its town houses come from that time. Today it has the shops, schools and services of a town of its size, and they do not close in winter.
That makes it a good choice for people who want to live here all year or spend long periods, and who like a town with its own life rather than a resort. The beaches of Sant Pol and the coves to the south are close, and the C-65 goes inland to Girona. We sell here and look after houses in Sant Feliu as part of our regular work.
There is a wide choice: apartments in the centre and near the port, older town houses that are often ready for renovation, and villas on the hillsides and in the urbanisations around the town, some with views over the bay.

Built on cork
The monastery that gave the town its name is documented from the tenth century, and its entrance, the Porta Ferrada with its horseshoe arches, has been the setting of a summer music festival since 1963. The port has an even longer story: a quay was authorised in 1435 and the breakwater was built in the years before the First World War.
From the eighteenth century Sant Feliu lived on cork. Before the crisis of 1913 there were around ninety stopper factories. That money paid for the Passeig del Mar, laid out in the 1830s, and for the casino La Constància, built in a neo-Mudéjar style at the end of the nineteenth century. Until the end of the 1960s a narrow-gauge railway linked the town with Girona. Its route is now a greenway of about forty kilometres.
Areas in and around Sant Feliu de Guíxols
Sant Feliu is a town of distinct neighbourhoods. These are three of the areas where we sell most often.
Sant Pol
The bay north of the town, urbanised mainly from the 1920s, with a sandy beach and the modernista Casa Estrada. More apartments and newer houses.
Vilartagues
A neighbourhood of the town itself rather than a holiday urbanisation, with people living there all year.
Punta Brava
An urbanisation close to the centre, on the slope above the sea.
