Renovation and building projects

Half of what we do never appears in a listing. We renovate houses, extend them, and build them from the plot up, with our own people on site and one person you call.

Renovation and building projects
What it covers

One firm from the first drawing to the last key

Most owners here are not in Spain while the work happens. That is the whole problem with building at a distance: quotes in a language you half read, trades who answer to nobody, and a project that quietly stops in August. We run the site instead, and report in your language.

We have done this for more than five hundred projects on this coast, from a kitchen and a bathroom to a house on an empty plot. The same team that sells and manages houses here handles the building, which is why we can tell you before you buy what a place will cost to put right.

What's included

What a project involves

Drawings and licences

Working with the architect and the town hall, so the licence is in hand before anything is knocked down rather than after.

Quotes you can read

A written breakdown by trade in your own language, with what is included and what is not, so two quotes can actually be compared.

Our own site team

Builders, plumbers, electricians and tilers we work with every week, scheduled in the right order and answering to our site manager.

Photos every week

Progress sent to you wherever you are, so the first time you see the work is not the day you fly in.

Good to know

What owners ask us

Can you renovate a house we have not bought yet?
Yes, and it is the best moment to ask. We will walk a property with you before you commit and give you a realistic figure for the work, which is often the difference between a good buy and an expensive one.
Do we need to be in Spain while the work is done?
No. Most of our clients are not. We handle the site, the trades and the town hall, and send photographs as it goes. You come back to a finished house rather than to a building site.
How long does a licence take?
It depends on the town hall and on the work. A minor works licence for an interior renovation is quick; anything structural, or a new build, takes considerably longer. We will tell you what to expect for your municipality before you plan around it.
Do you build on an empty plot?
Yes. New build is part of what we do, from choosing the plot through the architect, the licence and the construction itself. We also sell plots, so we can be honest about which ones are worth building on.
